Jovanna Orozco, MS, RDN, LDN
Jovanna Orozco is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her Master of Science in Nutrition and the Dietetic Internship at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before becoming a Registered Dietitian, Jovanna worked as a dietary aide at a long-term care facility in Greensboro, NC and as a graduate assistant at UNC Greensboro.
During her time at UNC Greensboro, Jovanna completed a thesis on racial and ethnic disparities in US infant feeding practices, conducted a clinical rotation with a Certified Diabetes Educator at Cone Health and directed a public health research program on diabetes management among Latinos. Given her Mexican/American background, Jovanna is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about serving the Hispanic/Latino community; something she uses as a driving force for serving patients of all cultures and populations. As a registered dietitian, Jovanna aims to aid her patients in reaching their nutrition goals through personalized counseling. Jovanna encourages her patients to embrace all foods, as well as finding ways to improve individual nutrition through relevant and affordable food options and finding ways to incorporate positive lifestyle practices.
In her free time, Jovanna enjoys reading, cooking, going to the gym, trying new restaurants, and exploring new cities with friends. She especially enjoys visiting museums and science centers, with an uncovered passion for art history.
