Chelsea began her early career in education before pursuing dietetics and brings over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families across educational and healthcare settings. She received her Master of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in pediatric nutrition, her Bachelor of Science in Human Consumer Sciences, and completed her dietetic internship at North Carolina Central University. She is a member of the IAEDP Foundation and is currently pursuing her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) certification.

Chelsea specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and has experience working in higher levels of care, including residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings. She has worked with children as young as 8 years old in higher levels of care and previously served as the primary dietitian for children and adolescents in a PHP setting. She also has experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their families.

While she works with individuals of all ages experiencing disordered eating and eating disorders, Chelsea is especially passionate about working with children, adolescents, individuals with ARFID, and neurodivergent individuals. Her background in elementary education, informal science education, and summer camp instruction for children of all ages continues to inform her approachable and engaging style of nutrition education.

Since becoming a dietitian, she has continued to focus on pediatric nutrition and currently works closely with children and families to support weight restoration, picky eating, ARFID treatment, and foundational nutrition education.Chelsea is passionate about providing evidence-based nutrition education in engaging and accessible ways while encouraging others to challenge misinformation and diet culture rhetoric. Her approach to nutrition care is individualized and grounded in gentle nutrition, intuitive eating, evidence-based medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and Health at Every Size® (HAES) principle.

Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys all things Halloween, crafting (including sewing, crochet, and costume making), hiking with friends, engaging in joyful movement, and spending quality time watching movies and shows with her husband, two cats (Ash and Atticus), and dog, Cranberry.
