Craig Stevens, MD
Dr. Craig Stevens is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician. Dr. Stevens received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio and completed his family medicine residency from Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. After completing his residency, he worked at several urgent care centers in the greater Dayton area before moving to North Carolina where he worked as faculty staff at UNC-Chapel Hill. In 2001, he bought what became Triangle Family Care in Cary and in 2017, he helped start Carolina Convenient Care in Chatham County and Azura Skin Care Center.
Dr. Stevens challenges himself to analyze the best approach for each patient for his or her medical problem. He enjoys managing both chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension and tries to incorporate lifestyle modification with medication when needed. He also enjoys the evaluation of unusual or uncommon symptoms, be they acute or chronic. Dr. Stevens treats patients of all ages and believes in only prescribing medicine when absolutely necessary.
In his free time, Dr. Stevens enjoys traveling, with favorites including Italy and New Zealand. He is an animal lover and is also passionate about photography, painting, and creating stained glass art. As a foodie, he finds joy in cooking and balances out eating with exercise which has helped him lose 60 pounds over the last year.
