Chad Cox, MD is a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician and Primary Care Doctor with Avance Care in West Cary, North Carolina.
He attended the University of California at Los Angeles and received undergraduate degrees in classical civilizations and biology. He went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Cox completed his residency in internal medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and has been board-certified in internal medicine since 2001.
Dr. Cox has a keen interest in the biological sciences and loves to find solutions. That, combined with his desire to contribute something to the greater good of the world, led him to medicine. The University of Arkansas gave Dr. Cox an extremely comprehensive experience in primary care, which evolved into his passion for family medicine.
Dr. Cox has lived in all corners of the United States, including Texas, Colorado, Northern California, Florida, Southern California, and Arkansas. He moved to North Carolina in July 2016. A self-described “family man,” Chad spends his free time with his wife and three children, two daughters and a son. His hobbies include travel, running, hiking, science fiction/fantasy novels, and movies, listening to classical and alternative music, tooling around on his iPad, and visiting museums. He also plays in local tennis leagues.
