Steven Alexander, MD is a board-certified Family Physician and Primary Care Doctor seeing patients at Avance Care in the Apex, North Carolina area.
Dr. Alexander graduated in 2004, completed his residency at the University of Texas in Houston, and had since practiced at Richmond Family Medicine in Rockingham, NC, before joining Avance Care.
Dr. Alexander is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Alexander enjoys taking care of children, adults, and the geriatric population, and places an emphasis on patient education, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. He also performs LARC insertions and removals. Dr. Alexander enjoys the variety that Family Medicine offers and the relationships it fosters. He finds it very rewarding to educate his patients so they are better informed about their health. He also believes in maintaining a good line of communication so questions and concerns are always addressed.
Dr. Alexander is married and is a proud father of a son and a daughter. He is active in the community and church. He enjoys sports, loves to travel, has an interest in health and fitness, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
