Ashley Fields, MD, CAQSM is a dually board-certified Family and Sports Medicine Physician treating sports injuries and rehabilitation at Avance Primary Care in Durham, North Carolina.
She obtained her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, where she also completed her residency training. During medical school, she developed a love for sports medicine, which led her to the University of Connecticut where completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship.
Prior to joining Avance Care, Dr. Fields practiced sports medicine and urgent care in California. Although Dr. Fields has a special interest in sports medicine, she has always loved treating the whole patient and maintaining a relationship with her patients. Dr. Fields’s goal is for her patients to feel well-informed about their care and feel at ease discussing their medical concerns.
Dr. Fields is married and a mother to an amazing little boy. She enjoys spending time with her family, sports, running, and traveling.
