Elizabeth Vandergriff, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and Primary Care Provider at Avance Care in Preston, North Carolina.
Elizabeth Vandergriff received her Bachelors of Music Education at Florida State University and taught music in public schools prior to further education. She has a Master’s of Religious Education with a specialty in Administration and Family Counseling and worked as a counselor for Hospice prior to entering medical school. Elizabeth received her MD from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she also completed her internship and residency. She then moved to North Carolina where she has practiced since 1995.
She has been board certified since 1995 and has served as a past Chairman of Medicine at Wake Med Cary Hospital. She has served as an Adjunct instructor for the UNC School of Nursing for Nurse Practitioner students as well as an Adjunct Instructor, and then as an Assistant Professor, Clinical Skills, at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Elizabeth is married and has two children and four grandchildren. She has been voted as Best Doctor of Western Wake County by the readers of Cary Magazine for several years and enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine. In her free time, she continues her musical interests by singing with the North Carolina Master Chorale.
