Recipe: Carrot Fries

On the hunt for a better for you crunchy crispy snack?  These crinkle cut carrot fries are the answer!  They are quick, tasty, and crunchy, with all of the good for you nutrition of carrots. Think loads of beta-carotene for eye, skin, and immune health along with potassium, Vitamin C, and fiber.  A snack anyone can get behind.

4 servings

Ingredients

4 Large carrots, peeled

Pinch of salt

Spray oil, any kind

Optional: salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cumin. ½ teaspoon

Utensils

Crinkle cutter (<$10 on amazon or Walmart)

Preparation

  1. Wash and peel 4 carrots
  2. Cut off stems and cut in half
  3. Use crinkle cutter to cut in half again to look like French fries. About 2 inches long and ½ inch wide.
  4. Place in air fryer
  5. Spray with oil
  6. Season with optional depending on family’s preference
  7. Shake basket to redistribute half way through
