Rickey Baskett Jr., MD is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and Primary Care Doctor serving patients of all ages at Avance Care in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He completed his Bachelor’s of Science at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2008. He obtained his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and continued at Meharry, completing the family medicine residency program in 2015.
Dr. Baskett’s service in family medicine has provided innumerous opportunities to communicate and reform approaches with patients, granting him the ability to establish rapport with individuals of various ages, cultures, and backgrounds, contributing to his bedside manner. He yearns to serve with excellence, advocating for the community in the pursuit of improving health and vitality. Growing up in Raleigh permitted Dr. Baskett to form lasting relationships and bonds, driving his passion for preventive medicine and continuity of care. He is committed to reinvesting and reciprocating his service to the community that has supported him through his journey as he continues to promote greater awareness and comprehension of medical issues through education.
He enjoys the creativity of art, participating in church & community events, and laughing. He loves to spend time with family and friends and appreciates learning, to increase knowledge and wisdom.
