Kara Schach Katz, FNP-C, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner providing care at Avance Care in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
She attended James Madison University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated in 2014. She began her career at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where she worked on a Cardiology and Vascular Intermediate Care Unit before transitioning to the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
She moved to North Carolina in 2018 while pursuing her master’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State University, graduating in 2021. While in North Carolina, she worked at WakeMed in the Emergency Department. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care since 2021.
Kara is passionate about building lasting relationships with patients and supporting their overall health and well-being through education and preventive care. She provides high-quality, compassionate care, ensuring her patients feel heard and their concerns acknowledged. She works collaboratively with patients to optimize each individual’s health and improve their overall quality of life. Kara strives to ensure that every patient feels they are in a safe and inclusive space.
In her free time, Kara enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. They enjoy baking and participating in outdoor activities. When she is not with her family, she likes to exercise and unwind by reading a good book.
