Alana Harper (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She is licensed in North and South Carolina and holds two Master’s Degrees—Forensic Psychology from Argosy University and a Master’s of Arts in Community Counseling and Development from George Mason University. She has over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, working with diverse clientele, including detention centers, community agencies, and outpatient services. Alana is a certified trauma professional skilled in helping adults, adolescents, and families manage mood disorders, anxiety, and life transitions.

When working with clients, Alana uses person-centered, strength-based, compassionate, trauma-informed, and multicultural approaches to the therapeutic process. She offers support and helps clients explore new skills to help them live their desired lives. In therapy,  Alana draws from different modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

As your therapist, Alana will walk alongside you as you navigate the uncertainties and life challenges. She will provide education so you will learn the source of your behaviors. She will teach you how to be your inner cheerleader, help you stop the cycle of generational trauma, and discover the benefits of self-care, self-love, and connection of mind and body.

When Alana is not counseling, she enjoys gardening, cooking, walking her dog, and playing with her parrot.
