Meet Our Staff
Feyisayo Adeyina, MD, FAAFP

Feyisayo Adeyina attended University of Debrecen, Medical School, Hungary on a full academic scholarship. She graduated in 1996. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at St. Elizabeth Family Practice, Utica, NY - an affiliate of Columbia University. She practiced at a Community Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio where she was promoted to Medical Director. She was a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. She enjoys the variety presented in Family Medicine and is experienced in treating all ages with a strong emphasis on Preventive Health Care and Patient Education.
Dr. Adeyina is board certified in Family Medicine and has received Awards for Excellence as a Family Physician, Excellence in Primary care and Clinical Teaching. She has also received a Service Award for her dedicated service at her former practice. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a Fellow of the Academy.
She lives with her husband Dr. Olalekan Folarin and their two sons. She is an active participant in the community and her Church. She speaks fluent Hungarian. She enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Aparna Vaikunth, MD

Aparna Vaikunth is a native to North Carolina. She attended Meredith College for undergraduate studies and went to medical school at the Brody School of Medicine - East Carolina University. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the Duke/Southern Regional AHEC program. Before coming to Avance Care, she practiced medicine at Clark Health Clinic, Fort Bragg, NC.
Dr. Vaikunth is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. She enjoys providing care for all ages, with an interest in preventative health care and patient education, as well as performing procedures including joint injections, skin lesion biopsies and removal.
She likes to participate actively in her community and can speak several Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking and spending time with her husband and young daughter as well as their family dog.
Jamie Darby, NP-C
Jamie Darby is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She also holds certifications through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses as a Progressive Care Certified Nurse and through the Emergency Nurses Association in trauma nursing. She is a member of the North Carolina Nurse’s Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Jamie attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington earning her Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in nursing, Master of Science degree in nursing and was awarded the Graduate MSN-FNP Excellence award. She worked as a registered nurse at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC and as a clinical instructor for Cape Fear Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing program. She has also worked as a registered nurse in WakeMed’s Emergency Services department.
Jamie enjoys all aspects of family practice and providing primary care to all patients across the lifespan. Her particular interests include pediatrics, women’s health, issues in anxiety and depression, asthma, and other lung diseases. Her philosophy includes prevention and health promotion as she believes strongly that individuals must be empowered with knowledge to make solid choices for their personal health and well-being.
Jamie lives with her husband and four children. She enjoys running, attending her children’s baseball games, and her husband’s authentic Cajun cooking. She also enjoys taking her children to local concert and sporting events.
