Avance Care is proud to be participating as a vendor in this year’s Out! Raleigh event on May 3rd, from11am to 6pm. The family-friendly festival is free to attend, open to the public, and will showcase local performers, businesses, food, and art from LGBT friendly vendors. The festival celebrates the LGBT Community by educating allies, and providing a safe enjoyable environment of music, delicious food, and events.
Many members of the LGBT community avoid or delay care because of fear of judgment. This discrimination against LGBT persons has been associated with high rates of tobacco, alcohol, and drug abuse, psychiatric disorders, and suicide. Avance Care wants to work with the resilient members of the LGBT community to take pride in their health and well-being.
