Sarah Regensburger, LCSW-A, LCAS-A is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate practicing at Avance Primary Care’s Behavioral Health Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Sarah finished her Master of Social Work at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. During her time at NC State University, she completed the Opioid Workforce Expansion Program where she was taught how to specialize in psychotherapy for clients with substance use issues. Sarah has experience in a variety of settings from a non-profit crisis call center to most recently an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Through individual and group therapy, Sarah enjoys working with diverse populations with various ethnic/cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and age groups.
Sarah views psychotherapy as a way to self-empower clients to climb mountains toward achieving their goals. She specializes in helping those who struggle with substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, and severe mental illnesses. Sarah utilizes a mixture of evidence-based practices to tailor psychotherapy sessions to the client and the client’s needs. She believes her mission is to provide skills to clients to promote self-insight, positive interpersonal relationships, and better well-being.
In her free time, Sarah can be found spending time with her partner, walking her rescue dog, and playing with her cat. Sarah also enjoys listening to music and playing board games with friends.
