Lauren Verschueren is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Prior to physician assistant school, Lauren worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including dermatology, clinical weight loss, inpatient medical and surgical, and inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.
Lauren pursued a career as a physician assistant to be a strong advocate for her patients and their health. She approaches patient care as if she was taking care of her own family members. She believes that empathetic listening and open communication are crucial for building trust and long-lasting partnerships with her patients. Her goal is to make patients feel heard and valued. Lauren is committed to meeting patients where they are to help set and achieve attainable and affordable healthcare goals.
Lauren was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She now resides in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina with her husband and golden retriever, Grizzly. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, practicing yoga, discovering music, and traveling.
