Jeanne Bernat, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Primary Care Provider with Avance Care seeing patients and families in the Northeast area of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jeanne graduated from East Carolina University in 1998 with a bachelor’s of science in nursing. She returned to East Carolina in 2010 for an MSN with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated in 2012. Jeanne has been board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners since 2012.
As a nurse, she has worked in hospitals taking care of Med-surge, orthopedics, neurosurgery, short-stay and post-partum patients. She also worked as a school nurse and in outpatient medical offices. Jeanne’s experience as a nurse practitioner includes family, internal, endocrinology, nephrology (dialysis), and geriatric care in nursing homes. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, NC Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Born in Ohio, and raised in Indiana, she moved to North Carolina after being accepted at East Carolina. She lived in Rocky Mount, NC for 19 years, before moving to Wake Forest, NC four years ago.
Jeanne enjoys meeting new people and helping them reach their goals of health and wellness by providing care according to the current guidelines and standards, and using resources in our company and community. Jeanne enjoys spending time with her 3 children, reading, traveling, going to concerts and movies, playing tennis and learning to play pickleball.
