Dark Chocolate Football Strawberries

Nutrition Fact:  February 1st is chocolate day and there is good reason for chocolate lovers to celebrate!   Dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa) is loaded with antioxidants that have been shown to lower your risk of cardiovascular disease by lowering blood pressure and LDL (bad) cholesterol, and raising HDL (good) cholesterol!

Makes: 12-14 strawberries

Ingredients

12-14 Strawberries

1 ½ cups dark chocolate chips

¼-1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Directions:

Rinse strawberries under running water and pat dry with paper towel. Place dark chocolate chips in microwavable safe coffee mug or small bowl.  Microwave on high for 30 seconds.  Stir and repeat until melted.  Be careful not to burn chocolate.  Dip each strawberry in chocolate and place on sheet of parchment paper to dry.  Meanwhile, microwave white chocolate chips in microwavable safe bowl for 30 seconds.  Stir and repeat until melted.  Be careful not to burn chocolate.  Let white chocolate cool for about 1 min and spoon into sandwich bag.  Snip a small corner of sandwich bag with scissors to form a piping bag.  Pipe to horizontal lines on the top and bottom of each strawberry.  Then pipe a vertical line down the middle of each strawberry.  Then pipe 5 horizontal lines across the vertical line.  Chill in refrigerator up to 24hrs before serving.
