Our patients are our focus, the reason for our work, and our greatest asset. The opportunity to serve both you and your family is something we take very seriously, which is why we’re writing today to help you make an informed decision about your insurance coverage as we approach the annual open enrollment period. When you need Avance Care, we’re there for you with convenient hours, same day appointments, and high-quality healthcare. Please take a minute to read this important message and understand how the decisions you make during open enrollment might affect that care.

Since 2014, we have been an available in-network provider for every single health insurance plan that could be purchased on the Health Insurance Exchange at Healthcare.gov. Unfortunately, this year, we have been excluded from the Cigna Connect Network product that is becoming available in 2017. You should know that this product is out-of-network at Avance Care, and also an HMO product that requires PCP election and referrals. This product also has zero out-of-network benefits.

We will be in network with all BCBS plans, including Blue Value, for the 2017 plan year. We have a longstanding contract with BCBS for traditional products like Blue Advantage, but also Health Insurance Exchange plans like Blue Local and Blue Value. BCBS has been a great partner over the years in helping us to develop our Next Generation Primary Care model, and if you choose any of their plans on Health Insurance Exchange, you’ll be covered at Avance Care.

Please do not hesitate to contact our billing department if you have questions or concerns regarding our in-network status with specific insurance companies. We’re happy to help you understand your insurance today, rather than incur expensive non-covered services down the road.
