Abigail Mook, LPA

Licensed Psychological Associate

Abby Mook is a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Certified Health Services Provider by the North Carolina Psychological Board. She earned her master’s in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University in 2010. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults in various clinical settings including private practice, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, correctional facilities, and medical hospitals. 

She has experience working with the following behavioral wellness concerns: anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, adult ADHD, personality disorders, chronic illness, grief, aging, and life transitions. She also has experience working with members of marginalized groups facing discrimination on societal and personal levels. Abby has an integrative approach to therapy and uses evidence-based practices including Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Abby will approach your therapy session with an empathic, non-judgmental, and collaborative style. She will help you develop measurable goals so that you will be able to track your progress throughout therapy.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending time with family, playing with her two rescue dogs, photography, and yoga.
