Ketamine infusion process

Our experienced psychiatrists and team will evaluate you as a candidate for ketamine by completing a whole person assessment in order to determine your best treatment path forward.

Assessment: At Avance Psychiatry, we consult with patients who have been referred by their healthcare provider or reach out directly. We provide a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether ketamine infusion therapy is the right next step in their care

Establishing care: For those who wish to move forward with ketamine treatment, Avance Psychiatry administers an initial treatment of four ketamine infusions over two to three weeks based on guidelines from the American Psychiatric Association.

Learning and growth: For the 85% of our patients who experience relief from their depression, we monitor outcomes closely to determine when they should come back for booster infusions as depressive symptoms recur, generally between 2 – 10 weeks.

Maintenance: We work closely with each patient’s care team to establish a personalized, long term care plan to ensure wellness over time.
