Taylor Daimwood is a board-certified family nurse practitioner in West Cary. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. During her nursing program, she also completed a semester of clinicals in Cape Town, South Africa as well as several volunteer trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. After graduation, she gained experience working as a Registered Nurse in one of Duke’s adult intensive care units. She then obtained her master’s degree in nursing from Simmons University. Throughout her graduate program, she continued to work as a Registered Nurse at Avance Care, gaining primary care experience and getting to know the community.
Taylor became a nurse practitioner because she is passionate about preventative care and patient education. She believes that in order to provide the best patient care it is important to treat the whole person and their family with lifestyle and therapeutic approaches in addition to medical management.
After growing up in South Dakota and Arizona, Taylor and her husband relocated to North Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys photography, spending time outdoors with her dog, trying new restaurants with friends, and traveling to new places or visiting family.
