Stephanie Benson, DNP, AGPCNP-BC is a board-certified Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice serving patients at Avance Care in Clayton, North Carolina.
Stephanie has over a decade of nursing experience as a registered nurse, working in a wide variety of settings including inpatient, home health, and long-term care. Motivated by the need for a more proactive approach to disease management, she obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from East Carolina University.
Stephanie’s eagerness to form relationships with patients is shown by providing preventive care to adults as well as acute care and chronic disease management. She values a patient-centered approach to primary care that includes both evidenced-based treatment plans and input from the patient to help them obtain their goals. She has a special interest in diabetes management and using technology to help patients better manage their disease.
As a lifelong resident of Clayton, she looks forward to giving back to the community that has been such an important part of her life. Outside of work, you can find Stephanie spending time with family, going to the lake, or with her 3 dogs.
