Shameka Turner, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to patients at Avance Care Behavioral Health at the Centers of Excellence in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Shameka earned her Master of Social Work degree from Case Western Reserve University. She has experience supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, including life stressors, grief and loss, adjustment issues, depression, trauma, suicidality, and other mental health concerns.
Shameka is dedicated to working collaboratively with her clients to explore their experiences, identify strengths, and develop effective coping strategies. She takes a person-centered approach to therapy, fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can realize their full potential and create meaningful change. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) techniques to promote healing from trauma, tailoring each approach to the individual’s unique needs.
Outside of work, Shameka enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
