Rashida Coleman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, FNP-C is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner serving patients at Avance Care Broad Street in Durham, NC.
Rashida obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Durham Technical Community College and began her Nursing career at Duke in the Cardio-Thoracic ICU (CTICU). She then joined the Duke Clinical Staffing Department, where she worked on various units such as Duke Cardiac Diagnostic Unit (CDU), Duke CardioVascular Short Stay Unit (CVSSU), Duke Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (MRI) Center and Duke Gastroenterology Unit. She served as a Clinical Staffing Preceptor for New Hire Registered Nurses as well as Senior year Nursing Students.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University and her Master of Science with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
She enjoys healthcare education and providing a collaborative environment to engage patients to participate in their journey to health. Rashida has a passion for preventive health and medicine and women’s health education.
In her free time, she likes spending time with her 3 children 2 dogs, weight training at the gym, reading, and being a new plant Mom.
