Rajiv Soni, LCSW, LCSAS, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with over seven years of experience working in mental and behavioral health. Mr. Soni has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, clinics, a homelessness drop-in center, and day shelters. He has training and experience in multiple types of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Mr. Soni enjoys helping patients uncover their motivations for change, identify what is meaningful to them, and take committed actions toward growth.

Over the course of therapy, Mr. Soni has observed that those who benefit most from sessions are willing to confront discomfort, share openly and honestly, ask questions, and express their opinions about what they like—and, more importantly, what they dislike. In a first session, you can expect a variety of questions designed to help him understand how you work, play, and love, as well as to collaboratively create specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely goals that define success in therapy.

Mr. Soni provides treatment both in a primary care practice near Preston in Cary, NC, and virtually. This allows patients the opportunity to receive care for their entire health within their community, in a familiar and discreet setting. He also offers sessions outside of normal business hours to increase access and convenience.

A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Mr. Soni enjoys dining at new restaurants, listening to podcasts, and building Legos. Rajiv asks that you send any restaurant recommendations his way.
