Nina Fombuh is a board-certified, Family Nurse Practitioner seeing patients at Avance Care in Rea Farms, North Carolina. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she received her Master of Science from Boston College, Massachusetts, and is ANCC certified.
Since 2008 Nina has been providing patient care in multiple healthcare settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and in-home care. Since 2015 she has been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive primary and urgent care services in an outpatient setting. Nina is trained in minor medical procedures such as laceration repairs, shoulder and knee injections, incision and drainage of abscesses, cyst removal, skin biopsies, and more. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Metrolina Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (MCNP).
Nina enjoys developing partnerships with patients and empowering them to adopt healthier lifestyles. During her nurse practitioner training, she completed an endocrinology clinical rotation where she developed an interest in helping patients manage Type 2 Diabetes and obesity.
In her spare time, she enjoys soccer, hiking, traveling, fitness, audiobooks/reading, and singing. Being grounded spiritually, connecting with family/friends, and staying physically and mentally fit are top priorities. She is also active in the community and the church.
