Dr. Mary “Faison” Knox is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician. She received her undergraduate degree in nutrition at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill school of Public Health. Dr. Knox later went to medical school at the University of Florida and returned to North Carolina for family medicine residency training in Charlotte.
Dr. Knox’s philosophy of patient care has always been a holistic approach. Her background in nutrition has allowed her to understand how food choices, lifestyle, sleep habits, and relationships affect overall health and wellbeing. Dr. Knox believes that to care for her patients, it is vital to know what they are passionate about and their daily motivations. Dr. Knox wants to meet you where you are and help you be the healthiest you can be. Dr. Knox has been practicing meditation and yoga for many years and one day hopes to be yoga instructor, when time allows. Dr. Knox is in the process of becoming a certified functional medicine provider.
Dr. Knox has a particular interest in caring for children, as she enjoys watching the stages from adolescents to adulthood, treating non-surgical sports related injuries, and prepping patients for international travel.
Dr. Knox and her husband have two children and enjoy spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and biking.
