Maggie Mishra, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Avance Primary Care’s Behavioral Health at Centers of Excellence in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Maggie obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She has experience working in a variety of settings and with diverse populations both as a community mental health social worker and as an outpatient psychotherapist. She has specific training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and uses a variety of evidence-based practices with patients, who experience challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, and family relationships. Maggie understands that therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and comfortable opening up. She meets the patients, where they are at using a supportive, collaborative, and empowering approach.
Maggie grew up in Durham and is excited to be moving back to the Triangle area. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog, reading, being outdoors, and watching funny TV shows and movies. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
