Lindsay Palmeri is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Lindsay attended Farmingdale State University for her undergraduate degree and Molloy College of Nursing for her master’s degree, both located on Long Island, NY. Lindsay’s career in healthcare started at age 21, where she worked as a registered nurse in a busy emergency department on Long Island for more than 8 years.
During her early career as an RN, Lindsay loved the emergency room for its fast pace, high-patient acuity and quick turn over of patients. She enjoyed the challenges that the emergency department setting brought. Lindsay left the emergency department in 2012 to further her education and became a family nurse practitioner in 2015.
As much as she loves the fast pace environment and high turnover of patients in the emergency department, Lindsay believes there is something to be said about establishing and maintaining relationships with patients and their families. She enjoys being the familiar face patients see during a time of need and the provider they trust to prevent disease and manage chronic conditions. Lindsay sees patients across the age span and enjoys to practice with a holistic, patient-centered approach, in which patients feel empowered to take control of their health.
Lindsay currently lives in Garner with her husband Frank, son, and fur-babies. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys being outdoors, staying active, yoga, and traveling. Her favorite place to visit is Yellowstone National Park, where she can enjoy the outdoors and wildlife. Her top priority in life is being happy and positive.
