Kourtney Edwards-Campbell, FNP earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the distinguished Winston-Salem State University, a historically Black university. Her academic background has provided a strong foundation for her work as a Family Nurse Practitioner, blending evidence-based practice with a commitment to patient-centered care.
She brings six years of experience in patient care as a registered nurse, with the latter portion of her nursing career dedicated to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Kourtney is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care and emphasizes the importance of cultural diversity in healthcare. She believes that every patient’s cultural identity, values, and beliefs should be respected and integrated into their care plan. Her philosophy centers on creating an inclusive environment where patients feel seen, understood, and valued. Equally important to her is patient education; she strives to empower patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their health. By bridging cultural understanding with clear, personalized education, she works to build trust and foster long-term wellness for the communities she serves.
Outside of her professional life, Kourtney enjoys exploring her creative side through pottery and acrylic painting. She also loves exercising, attending music festivals, going to the movies, and discovering new restaurants as an avid foodie. Born and raised in New York City with Caribbean American roots, Kourtney now enjoys Southern living while bringing her diverse experiences and perspectives to her practice.
