Kasey Mitchell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She completed her Bachelors of Social Work at North Carolina State University. She went on to complete her Masters in Social Work at the University of New England in Maine. Kasey has experience working in the school system, intensive in home programs, residential group home facilities and outpatient therapy settings. She also serves as a supervisor to other students pursuing their master’s degrees in social work through the University of New England.
Kasey’s areas of expertise include depression or mood disorders, anxiety, grief/loss, relational or family conflict, interpersonal skills, adjustment issues and trauma. Kasey has specialized training in several evidenced based models for treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Kasey is an NC rostered clinician for Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, both of which are used to assist patients in processing their past traumatic experiences.
Kasey grew up in the Raleigh area. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, cooking, going to the beach and taking her dog, Roxy, to the park.
