Joseph Rodriguez, LCSWA, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate at the Avance Care Behavioral Health at the Center of Excellence in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He received his Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University and has experience working in community mental health with adults, children, and adolescents.
Joseph specializes in family therapy and uses Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy to help family members heal their relationships and address parental stresses. Joseph strives to make sure that every family member’s voice is heard and create a safe space so each individual can use their voice. Joseph believes that family therapy is about helping families attain a higher quality of life, not about assigning blame. He also uses methods from Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help individuals work through symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Joseph lives in Wake Forest with his wife and newborn daughter. He enjoys cooking, tabletop gaming, and spending time with his family.
