Hita Abrams, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant and is serving patients at Avance Care Primary Care RTP in Durham, NC.
Hita has an extensive education background consisting of two Master’s degrees: Master of Public Health from the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health and a Master of Health Science from Drexel University/Hahnemann. Her football allegiance will always be with Clemson University where she completed her undergraduate training with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. These experiences have allowed Hita to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the field of medical care she is most passionate about – primary care and preventive medicine.
She brings over 15 years of experience in chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. She also specializes in gastrointestinal health, asthma and allergy management, and women’s health and wellness screenings. Hita is committed to her patients’ overall well-being by focusing on health promotion, disease prevention and treatment, and health protection.
A native South Carolinian, Hita now proudly calls Raleigh home, where she lives with her husband, Justin, and their Labradoodle, Abbey. She enjoys cooking for friends and family, cheering on the Canes, live music, college football, and basketball. Go Tigers! In the warm months, she can be found spending time on the water exploring our local lakes and coast.
