Erin Ragsdale, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant providing psychiatric care at Avance Psychiatry at Centers of Excellence in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Erin holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Criminology and Law from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to graduate school, she gained experience assisting in the rehabilitation of hospitalized patients, which shaped her appreciation for functional recovery, patient autonomy, and collaborative care.
Erin’s patient-centered approach is influenced by the principles of palliative care, emphasizing improved quality of life by holistically addressing each patient’s physical, emotional, and social needs. She values respecting patients’ personal goals and incorporating support systems into care when appropriate. She particularly enjoys working with older adults and supporting patients through the unique mental health challenges associated with aging, cognitive changes, and medical illness.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and exploring the Triangle area with her dog.
