Elizabeth “Liz” Sinclair, LCMHC, is a board-certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor seeing clients at Avance in North Wake Forest in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked with children, adults, seniors, couples, and families. Liz is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected.

Liz completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Heidelberg College in 1998 and received her Master of Science degrees in School Counseling and Community Counseling from Ohio University in 2005. She has been licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina since 2013.

She has experience supporting clients experiencing ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, visual impairment, chronic pain, self-esteem concerns, developmental challenges, and challenges related to parenting, relationships, family dynamics, and much more.

Liz takes a collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based approach to treatment. Drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and EMDR, she helps clients identify unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. She believes in working alongside each client to build on their strengths, establish achievable goals, and develop practical solutions that fit their individual needs and circumstances.

Her goal is to help clients feel empowered, develop greater confidence in themselves, and gain the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
