Elizabeth C. Palmquist, MSN, FNP-C is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner practicing Internal Medicine in Charlotte, North Carolina. She completed her Master of Nursing and Palliative Care sub-specialty from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Desiring to further increase her education and training, Elizabeth is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice focusing on Internal Medicine and Palliative Care. She is a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, The American Nursing Association, The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
Elizabeth thoroughly enjoys providing quality, evidence-based care that prevents disease and enhances the quality of life of her patients. Prior to becoming a Practitioner, she was a Medical and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse for four years, caring for a diverse patient population with various life-threatening conditions and life-support devices. These experiences at the bedside motivated Elizabeth to become a Nurse Practitioner to keep her patients out of the hospital and provide accessible, preventative care to them over the course of their lives. As both a provider and an intensive care nurse, she strongly values whole-person, compassionate, and thorough care and feels honored to care for people during difficult times and provide comfort and clarity. As an Internal Medicine and Palliative Care provider, she enjoys walking with her patients throughout the course of their lives and increasing their quality of life and death.
When she is not at the office, you can find Elizabeth spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their Rhodesian Ridgeback, Mayzie. She enjoys trail running, Pilates, reading, painting, and spending time with her friends and family.
