Dylan earned his Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and went on to complete his Master of Social Work at North Carolina State University. In his clinical practice, he draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that helps individuals process distressing memories and reduce the emotional intensity connected to them. It supports the brain’s natural healing process by helping clients reprocess traumatic experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable.
Dylan has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including mood and personality disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and eating disorders. He offers individual counseling to ensure care is accessible and tailored to each person’s unique needs.
His work is grounded in the belief that mental health challenges should never be faced alone. Dylan is dedicated to helping individuals overcome obstacles, build resilience, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Through the therapeutic process, he aims to promote emotional well-being, positive interpersonal relationships, and greater self-awareness.
When Dylan is not at work, he enjoys spending time at the beach, going to the movies, listening to music, and being with his two dogs.
