Donna Whitt, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and Primary Care Doctor with Avance Care in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
She received her undergraduate degree in zoology from NC State University prior to attending UNC Chapel Hill for medical school and residency training. Dr. Whitt gained experience in full-scope primary care in Siler City, including nursing home care, inpatient care, and outpatient primary care. Following that, she worked at UNC Campus Health Services caring for her Tarheel family.
Dr. Whitt enjoys many aspects of family medicine. One of her passions is dermatology, including preventing and screening for skin cancer. She likes procedures such as skin biopsy, mole removal, insertion of IUDs and Nexplanon, and joint injections. She believes in shared decision-making and providing education with the ultimate goal of providing the best care to her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Whitt is a wife and mom of two very active boys. She also has 4 pugs. So, while she enjoys many hobbies, in actuality, she does a lot of cleaning. She enjoys creating and teaching herself to knit, painting, refinishing furniture, and gardening. Dr. Whitt also enjoys being outside kayaking, watching the kids play sports, and riding roller coasters.
