Destiny holds an undergraduate degree from Winston Salem State University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Elon University. Her professional journey began with a focus on behavioral health services, where she served the Salisbury, NC community with outpatient mental health services during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Passionate about advocating for marginalized communities, Destiny’s career path led her to roles in internal and family medicine, including practice at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center and providing healthcare services in Uptown Charlotte.
Believing in a holistic approach to healthcare, Destiny prioritizes understanding the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical well-being. She strives to build trusting relationships with her patients through comprehensive education and empowering them to actively participate in their healthcare journeys. Outside of her professional endeavors, Destiny finds fulfillment in various activities, including traveling, reading, gardening, and spending quality time with loved ones. She also cherishes moments with Brody, her beloved two-year-old Goldendoodle.
