Dawn Kennedy, LPA, is a Licensed Psychological Associate providing therapy to patients at Avance Care in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
Dawn attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to complete a Master of Arts in Psychology at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
Dawn has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in hospitals, private practices, and intensive in-home programs for at-risk youth. She addresses a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, social skills, and behavior management, while supporting adolescents and adults in managing ADHD, mood-related challenges, and diversity-related issues. Dawn helps clients build emotional awareness, regulate anger, and navigate life transitions. Using an integrative approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), she tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs within a compassionate, collaborative environment grounded in genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard.
Outside of her clinical work, Dawn channels her creativity through a variety of artistic pursuits, including acrylic painting, dry pastels, and poetry. A passionate supporter of the arts, she enjoys attending performances and celebrating the talent of local artists, musicians, comedians, and performers.
