Danielle Hawkins, LMCHA, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate providing therapy at Avance Care Midtown Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Danielle’s therapeutic work is shaped by her previous experience counseling young adults and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, workplace stress, neurodivergent adjustments, familial conflict, trauma, LGBTQ+ identity and acceptance, maladaptive coping, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, minority stress, and relationship issues.
Her person-centered approach emphasizes collaboration, ensuring each client’s care is tailored to meet their unique needs. Danielle draws from an integrative theoretical perspective, combining psychodynamic principles with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systems Theory, and Somatic Therapy.
She incorporates mindfulness strategies to help address surface-level distressing thoughts, uses solution-focused tools to support personal growth, and integrates somatic experiences to help clients process and release internalized beliefs that no longer serve them. By applying an intersectional framework, she provides context and depth in understanding each client’s presenting concerns, fostering a supportive environment for healing and meaningful change.
Outside of her professional work, Danielle enjoys soothing skincare and haircare routines, taking long walks on sunny days, dancing, traveling to experience different cultures, indulging in spicy margaritas, watching messy reality TV, attending live music events, and discovering new restaurants.
