Brianna Kurilla, LCMHC-A, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate providing therapy at Avance Behavioral Health Knightdale in Knightdale, North Carolina.
She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mount Olive in 2025. During her graduate training, she completed her clinical internship at Avance Care over her final two semesters, gaining hands-on experience providing therapeutic services in an integrated care setting. Her academic preparation and supervised clinical experience provided a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities and client-centered care.
Her clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), self-esteem challenges, family conflict, life transitions, career changes and stress management. She is passionate about helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions and behaviors while developing practical tools to create meaningful change.
Brianna strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. Her care philosophy is rooted in a person-centered approach that focuses on each individual’s unique strengths and lived experiences. She integrates techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients build resilience, increase psychological flexibility and work toward their personal goals.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and spending time with her three dogs.
