Ann Mathew, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner committed to serving patients at Avance Care in Matthews, NC.
Having earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University, Ann gained valuable experience as a registered nurse within a hospital setting. Motivated by a desire to provide a more proactive approach to patient care, she pursued her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
Recognizing the nature of health and appreciating the individualized strengths and challenges each person encounters, Ann finds fulfillment in establishing meaningful connections with her patients. Forming enduring relationships, she assists her patients in attaining their health and wellness objectives. Drawing upon her extensive experience in family practice, Ann actively engages with a diverse range of patients, contributing significantly to their overall well-being. Her background in public health has instilled in her an understanding of the critical importance of healthcare access, health education, and promotion.
Originally hailing from Glen Oaks, NY, Ann later relocated with her family to Lawrenceville, GA during high school. A resident of the Charlotte area for over a decade, she shares her life with her husband and two children. Ann actively pursues a healthy lifestyle, participating in activities such as running, gym workouts, and leisurely walks with her Goldendoodle. As a soccer enthusiast, she actively supports the Chelsea Football Club. Ann’s passion for travel has led her to various destinations, with Southern California holding a special place in her heart. Additionally, she takes pleasure in participating in church activities and plays an active role in teaching Sunday School.
