Amanda Neal, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant providing care at Avance Care North Raleigh in Raleigh North Carolina. Amanda has nearly 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Duke University School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University—though she proudly considers herself a Pirate at heart.
Throughout her career, Amanda has cared for patients in a wide variety of healthcare settings. She believes that healthcare is most effective when patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to actively participate in their care. Known for her friendly and approachable personality, Amanda values building long-term relationships with her patients. She strives to be the kind of provider who feels like “the doctor in the family”—someone patients can trust, relate to, and confidently turn to throughout every stage of life. Amanda speaks English and is known for her down-to-earth communication style that helps patients feel comfortable and at ease.
Amanda is passionate about patient-centered care, with a special focus on preventive health, metabolic and obesity medicine, and inclusive healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel supported, respected, and genuinely cared for.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, their two school-aged sons, and their dog, Boomer. She loves reading, crafting, planning fun outings with friends and family, and finding humor in everyday life. Amanda is also a dedicated advocate for the Down syndrome community and enjoys combining her passions for healthcare, inclusion, and creativity through community outreach and awareness initiatives.
