Mindset Masters: Empowering Teen Brains is a virtual program designed for teens aged 15 to 18.
Our teen years mark a crucial period of self-discovery, identity formation, exploration, and brain development. During this transformative phase, we begin to understand who we are, what we believe in, and how we fit into the world around us. We lay the foundations of life long self-care habits and emotional response patterns in the brain that will impact dynamics with family, friends, romantic partners and employers for years to come.
As adults we uncover so much about ourselves in therapy. Wouldn’t it have been nice to have this information about ourselves as a teen? To be able to set boundaries and articulate needs clearly? To advocate for self? Motivate & organize self? Or spot the signs of something more dangerous to us or others?
Join us as we embark on this journey together, where we’ll build a strong foundation in self-advocacy, learn to establish healthy boundaries, and cultivate resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Through a variety of engaging projects, social events, and mental health education sessions, we will create a supportive community that encourages open dialogue and shared experiences and advocacy for personal needs.
Our virtual Teen Therapy Group meets every Tuesday for 5 weeks, starting February 4th, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
Cost: Most insurance is accepted. Our behavioral health coordinators will verify your insurance benefits and explain any out-of-pocket costs prior to you attending the first group.
We also offer affordable self-pay rates of $40 per session.
How It Works
Sessions are structured in 5-week rounds, offering flexibility for new participants to join and for existing members to continue into additional rounds. Each round begins with a planning session, where teens collaborate to set the group’s educational goals by choosing topics most relevant to them. This process empowers teens to identify their needs and advocate for resources, fostering leadership and self-awareness.
What to Expect
We explore engaging topics selected by teens, such as:
- The impact of the internet
- Self-expression
- Healthy relationship habits
- Coping strategies for mental health diagnoses
- Balancing home, school, and emerging adulthood
- Building self-care routines and boundary-setting skills
Interactive and Engaging Sessions
Each 5-week cycle kicks off with self-exploration, introductions for new attendees, and planning for the following sessions. The subsequent weeks focus on interactive activities, deep dives into selected topics, and engaging Q&A sessions with professionals. Teens will benefit from:
- Workshops that promote creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving
- Lectures tailored to their areas of interest
- Experiments and discussions designed to strengthen self-confidence and mental well-being
Rolling Admissions
With rolling admissions every 5 weeks, teens can seamlessly join or continue the group, ensuring a supportive and dynamic environment that evolves with their needs.
By participating, teens will gain practical tools and strategies to navigate challenges, integrate their home and school life, and build confidence and resilience as they grow into adulthood.
