Why primary care: Because of the variety. Variety in patient types (from infants to geriatrics) and variety of medical issues (from sore throats to preventive health care) and everything in between.
Why I love Avance Care: Avance’s committed focus on the patient and their needs. From convenient scheduling to the services provided on-site. Also, the supportive work environment from the front desk personnel all the way up the ladder to corporate leaders.
If I wasn’t a primary care provider, I would be: A bread baker.
My favorite part of medicine is: Getting to be directly involved in helping people’s quality of life on a daily basis.

How I connect to patients: Staying humble. Also, by making their health a shared decision-making process as opposed to dictatorship.
The one piece of medical advice I tell my patients but have a difficult time incorporating into my own life: Avoid junk food (especially Doritos).
If I have a three day weekend, I can be found: Spending time with my wife and son doing outdoor activities like going to the pool, hiking, or at a park.
The four people I would invite to my ultimate dinner party: My wife, Thich Nhat Hanh, Tupac Shakur, and Johnny Rotten.
