My favorite part of medicine is: New technology and innovations that are constantly changing to improve quality of life. I love constantly learning something new every day. I also enjoy educating my patients on ways that they can improve their health.
If someone wanted to start a conversation with me they should ask me about: My three girls. There’s always plenty to talk about.
How I connect to patients: I try to put myself in their shoes and offer empathy, even if I don’t understand what they’re going through. Find common interests and build on that to develop a trusting relationship.
The one piece of medical advice I tell my patients but have a difficult time incorporating into my own life: Diet and exercise. Don’t we all have trouble with that?… No? Just me? Okay…
If I have a three-day weekend, I can be found: At the pool, someplace downtown Raleigh, or in my bed.
The four people I would invite to my ultimate dinner party: Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Barack Obama, and Justin Bieber.
