Tia Scriven, LCSW-A
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate

Tia Scriven is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She left the beach for the city in 2019 after graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with her masters in Social Work and Certificate in Conflict Management and Resolution. Tia earned her Bachelor of arts in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from UNCW as well. She has a diverse clinical background, with a history of providing outpatient therapy, clinical assessments and diagnosing, and community therapy for individuals and families with a wide-range of mental health diagnoses. She also has a history of advocacy for vulnerable populations, and has a passion for the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Tia strongly believes that the individual is the expert of their own lives and that they can create and build upon their own strengths. Tia provides an engaging, authentic and empathic experience for her clients. Tia utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused therapy and motivational interviewing techniques to address various triggers and sources of distress. She also is trained in several trauma-informed treatment modalities to assist her clients in overcoming past traumatic experiences.

Tia is originally from Hope Mills, NC, a small town right outside Fayetteville. Tia enjoys hiking, playing the violin and video games in her free time.
