After taking some time away from nursing, when her boys were young, she became a teacher’s aide in a first-grade classroom. Since moving to the Triangle area, she has been caring for women of all ages and infants at the Women’s Center at UNC Rex Hospital. Realizing that each patient who comes to see her is someone’s loved family member or someone’s special someone, Practitioner Phelan prides herself in ensuring that her patients are cared for in the manner that she would want one of her loved ones to be cared for.
Practitioner Phelan’s three boys are located up and down the east coast. Originally from Albany, New York, she has family in the northeast and Colorado which gives her opportunity to travel. She is a big fan of a good book, walking, yoga, football season, and time at the beach.
