Sharon McGee, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Sharon McGee, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University. Her areas of expertise include working with a wide range of populations: children, adolescents, and adults, with a wide array of presenting problems and diagnosis. Most recently, Sharon has worked in outpatient therapy, intensive in-home and school-based facilities. She has experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment issues, and relationship and family problems.

Sharon utilizes a variety of evidenced-based therapies to assist clients in improving their quality of life, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Theory and Family Centered Treatment (FCT), as well as mindfulness and somatic treatments. Sharon believes each client has their own unique experience. She feels it is important that each person has an emotionally-safe environment built on a foundation of trust and empathy to share their experience and begin a process of healing.

Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She likes reading, watching movies, and traveling to her favorite cities of New Orleans and Charleston. Sharon also likes spending time taking her dog Finn to the dog park.
